Function Notation
In this video, we review the difference between a relation and a function (using ordered pairs, tables of values, equations, graphs, and mapping diagrams) and use the vertical line test to identify functions. We use function notation for a linear function and a quadratic function and show how to find the inputs/outputs. Function notation is introduced in Foundations of Math 10, and is needed for Pre-Calculus 11 and 12 in the BC Canadian math curriculum.
