Hello everyone! As you know, I went to Charlie's first ever show in Australia, which happened in my home city Brisbane! Here is a vlog compilation of the clips recorded from my concert experience at his VIP Soundcheck, the interactions I had with him there, the opening act and the full concert. A special thank you note too from me at the end for all of you watching!
To tell you the story of how @charlieputh and his music came into my life, we’d be sitting all day. I heard about him in 2015 with See You Again, the year my passion for piano playing came back (and I did an hilariously bad cover of it back then). I started following him and listening to his music in February of 2017, after stumbling upon We Don’t Talk Anymore’s instrumental with its universal blend of world music and how funnily relatable it was at that particular moment in my life. It was Attention however, that solidified me as his fan to stay and made me realise how music was always going to be an important part of my life moving forward.
Charlie’s music has always gravitated towards me unlike any other artist. His universal relate-ability approach with lyrics, his focus on making top tier production with his hand at the forefront of his craft and finding how much common ground we share (perfect pitch cough cough). Ultimately, little did I know that his music would be the soundtrack to my own life experiences I went through in the years of 2018-2022. These are the reasons as to why he is my favourite artist and has been my biggest musical influence.
Six years have I long awaited in anticipation for this night. Not only that, he got to interact with me at soundcheck! A moment like this which feels like a fever dream, but oh man six years of waiting and finding a connection with his music, it was so worth it for that moment.
This day was to me, a celebration of this chapter of my life from 2017-2023 coming full circle. A night I’ll truly never forget. What can I say but thanks be to God for the opportunity to experience such a night as this. Shout out to the amazing people who’ve been with me all this way whether locally, or through the CP fandom. I just so happen to have finally completed my university degree as well as of this video being uploaded. I'll surely carry the inspirations from this night forward with me as a new chapter begins in 2024, not just for me but for this channel as well.
Next time will surely be a lot different when we see him live, seeing an end to most of the hard songs of his past and heading into new, upbeat vibes, with a album all based around love and with the genre of R&B. Until then, See You Again” next time in Brisbane, Charlie!
