It’s time for a new episode of Rental Car Ergonomics!
This week: the KIA K5
1️⃣ Electric seat controls were great to have with this trim level. The seat was shaped well for me and I was able to try out quite a few seat options before settling in.
2️⃣ The headrest had a bit of a tilt forward. I usually adjust it all the way up to be more comfortable.
3️⃣ My favorite steering wheel adjustment of up/down AND in/out was great to see. The shape of the steering wheel itself made it easy to grab without over gripping.
4️⃣ Great technology with a large, easy to use touch screen.
5️⃣ The unique negative for this car was how weird it was to get in and out. I think it’s because it’s lower than some sedans, but the door clearance seemed less to where I had to swing both legs out AND use a lot of hand assist to get out. Maybe it was also the cushion of the seat pad that made it more difficult.
The KIA K5 gets a 4/5 ⭐️
