The CXP MARS 2 from ICS is an AR15 type replica but with a unique design, which is not made to be an exact replica of a real weapon. A lot of effort is put into the look of the replica, especially in the details of the body and the finish of the CNC aluminum handguard. It is, I think, objectively a very beautiful object, whatever one may think of its general look.
I really like the stock, which is thin while giving plenty of room for the battery. I also really like the pistol grip, with this design and angle, which I find aesthetic and comfortable. I also really like the look of the handguard, however I think that the absence of a picatinny rail on the top of the handguard will perhaps be a bit annoying for the installation of certain accessories. I like the look of the trigger and the fact that its course is reduced to a minimum, even if personally I'm not a fan of the total absence of mechanical feeling.
There is other elements already known from ICS, such as the "splitable" gear box in two parts, the possibility of easily changing the main spring, the very simple access to the internal barrel, ideal for upgrades and maintenance...
