Samson and Delilah, Op. 47, is a grand opera by Camille Saint-Saëns to a French libretto by Ferdinand Lemaire, based on the Biblical tale.
The final act features the “Bacchanale,” a showpiece in which Delilah leads a wild and provocative dance to taunt Samson.
