[Free Excel Tutorial] CONSOLIDATING DATA FROM MULTIPLE EXCEL WORKSHEETS BY POSITION - Full HD
You can use Excel's Consolidate feature to consolidate your worksheets (located in one workbook or multiple workbooks) into one worksheet. Below you can find the workbooks of three districts.
Before you start: if your worksheets are identical, it's probably easier to create 3D-references (if you have one workbook) or External References (if you have multiple workbooks) to consolidate your data.
To summarize and report results from separate worksheets, you can consolidate data from each separate worksheet into a master worksheet. The worksheets can be in the same workbook as the master worksheet or in other workbooks. When you consolidate data, you are assembling data so that you can more easily update and aggregate it on a regular or ad hoc basis.
For example, if you have a worksheet of expense figures for each of your regional offices, you might use a consolidation to roll up these figures into a corporate expense worksheet. This master worksheet might contain sales totals and averages, current inventory levels, and highest selling products for the entire enterprise.
You can summarize data from one or more source areas by consolidating it and creating a consolidation table. These source areas can be on the same worksheet as the consolidation table, on different sheets in the same workbook, or in different workbooks. When you consolidate the source data, you apply a summary function, such as the SUM() function, to create the summary data.
