I had two "ambient" (meaning "not pre-choreographed" and performing for 10-30 minutes at a time) contortion gigs this last week with my lollipop lyra, an aerial-ish apparatus that's basically a big hoop attached to a stage pole that I can do bendy tricks in.
I filmed my 20(ish) minute warm up to give folks an idea of what a minimum warm up (for me) looks like. These are basically the bare minimum things I need to do to feel bendy enough to do cool things. Usually for "just" contortion I do more back, and less leg warm up, but for an aerial apparatus I do need more active leg flexibility so about half of my warm up in this video was focused on my legs.
If you'd like a full breakdown list of the drills I do in this warm up, check out this blog post: www.daniwinksflexibility.com/bendy-blog/my-contortion-warm-up-routine-an-example
