So if i had to sum this album up in a single sentence it'd probably be: dang Taylor is this even worth it?
This album is for people who process their emotions via interacting with art, music, and films that remind us of our circumstances. Often when something bad happens to us, we can’t let out the negative emotions that it provokes, either because other people won’t let us or we feel shame or we’ve been gaslit to believe that we shouldn’t see something as being a problem. Toxic positivity is a thing and it makes it impossible to process the bad things that have happened to you because you refuse to see them as bad. As a result, We have tons of feelings trapped inside of us and often don’t realize it until we find a piece of media like this.
Having the language to describe your problems and having validation from others that your problems are real.. both very key factors to you being able to process and work through them. A lot of people listen to a Taylor song and instantly have the language to describe what’s plagued them for years.
