Software alternatives.
Serato lite is bundled with the controller but I could not launch it.
The controller is unsupported in the most recent release of Traktor.
You have to pay for upgrades to use the controller with Djay pro.
Djuced (silly name ) is free but forces you to use the Hercules drivers.
I did not install the Hercules drivers. I used an Arturia Minifuse 4 which has lower audio buffers.
I placed some paper under the platter & used seven inch vinyl to improve responsiveness for scratching & back spins.
Thoughts.
Hercules DJ Control Inpulse T7 is a confusingly long name for a dj controller.
I don't see any advantage in upgrading the faders etc if you have a quality audio interface.
The vertical faders are positioned too close to the crossfader. Your fingers will catch the vertical faders when they are in the down position if your crab scratching.
The controller has a on off switch at the rear & will not function without a power supply AND also a usb cable connection to your PC or tablet.
The controller platter is belt driven but capable & feel like Denon n-s3500 or Technics Sl Dz1200 cdj's. They are responsive for beat juggling but I did experience sticker drift.
You can't turn off the motor & use the jog wheels in static mode.
You can't change the speed of the platter.
