Virtual Dj skin design for single & multiple decks
Virtual Dj has a tool which enables you to construct themes without having to learn scripts.It was de-listed in 2023 . I managed to find it via way back machine.

SKIN BUILDER VERSIONS
Skin builder was de-listed because there were many versions & scenarios where it was incompatible. These are the most stable combinations .
Skin extractor utility V4. Skin builder V4 & Virtual Dj build 5681
Skin extractor utility V3. Skin builder V3 & Virtual Dj build 4918
DIFFERENCES
Skin extractor v3 has bitmap images which was used for skeuomorphic design but it's outdated & difficult to modify. Skin extractor v4 uses vector.
Skin builder extractor version four IS compatible with Virtual DJ 2024 build b8225 However there is no official confirmation on the site.
EXPERIENCE
You need an advanced text editor & some basic knowledge of image editing, resizing.
ISSUES
Audio wave colours may change or the background images may flicker if older
designs are used with newer Virtual Dj builds.
Decks are always mirrored. You can't create single or multiple decks or place the items anywhere you desire.Just place the items as close as can , extract multiple variations & modify them in an ADVANCED text editor.
VIRTUAL DJ RED LOGO
The extractor will generate a script & image file in a folder.You can hide the logo by editing the image file..
THOUGHTS
Skin extractor is a very useful tool.Just be wary that the scripting is more refined & flexible in the defaults skins of Virtual Dj after 2020.
eg
Vu meters in skin builder v4 are the most time consuming items to modify it's best to use the default vu meter code in newer Virtual Dj builds.
