Lofi + Afrobeats: Unleash Your Productivity

The past week has been a tad uneventful as I'm still settling into my new apartment, and have been eagerly counting down the days until school starts. My days were mostly spent glued to my computer, trying to learn the convoluted route between my apartment and the school, and attempting to memorize a few phrases in the local language.
My anticipation for a roommate had been building for a solid week, and today marked her arrival. I can't describe how relieved and excited I am. I mean, let's be real - who wants to be stuck with a total stranger for an entire year? But guess what? Luck is clearly on my side. Lola is her name and she's a local film student.
When Lola walked in, I couldn't decide if I should be doing cartwheels of joy or if I'd just hit the roommate jackpot. This girl is a force of nature. She's got more energy than a toddler on a sugar rush, and her laugh? Well, let's just say it could cure the grumpiest of moods. Lola's passion for storytelling is contagious and we bonded over our mutual love for movies and the passion to create an impact using our creations.
Lola settled into our little apartment, and as she did, she mentioned the annual film competition! It’s a pretty big deal here, a real celebration of creativity and talent. It’s where filmmakers from everywhere in the world come to exhibit their craft.
Lola went on about how this contest is the golden ticket for up-and-coming filmmakers to shine and get noticed by the who's who in the film world. I can't help but be inspired, though I'm still debating if I should take the plunge. Time will tell.
But in the meantime, Lola has promised to be my guide here in West Africa, and I couldn't have asked for a better sidekick on this epic journey.
Here's to Lola, the annual film fest and the treasure trove of untold stories just waiting for their moment in the spotlight. Until next time my Chales.
