𝗥𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in Unreal Engine 5.3

𝗥𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in Unreal Engine simulate accurate environment representation, supporting multiple reflection bounces. Unlike traditional raster-based reflections, Ray Tracing Reflections leverages ray-tracing techniques to achieve realistic results. Imagine a single bounce of ray-traced reflections compared to multiple bounces—using the latter creates real-time inter-reflections between reflective surfaces in the scene. With supported hardware, Unreal Engine’s ray tracing capabilities allow for interactive experiences with subtle lighting effects in real-time.

In this example I have achieved a more realistic look by changing the reflection method from Lumen to Ray Tracing. To achieve more precision and reduce black areas in the reflective material I increased the number of light bounces to 3, this increase of bounces slightly increases the noise of the image, so to compensate this I increased the number of samples per pixel to 16.
