BIM In Nepal Conference 2019 - Rajan Suwal
Nepal BIM Forum and Global construction technology leader Trimble hosted Nepal’s first-ever Building Information Modeling (BIM) conference for the country’s fast-growing construction industry. Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUBDC) is supporting, the ‘Nepal BIM Conference 2019’ initiative focusing on necessary digital BIM tools and processes to drive the digital transformation of the Nepalese construction industry. Senior representatives from different governmental organizations, contractors and consulting firms as well as architects, engineers and designers attended the event.
In the following video, Rajan Suwal put forward his view regarding the need for BIM adoption in Nepalese AEC industry. Er. Dr Rajan Suwal is the prominent structural engineer in the Nepalese AEC industry with over 25+ years of experience. He has finished his Post Doctorate Research in Structural Engineering from the University of Portugal in 2016 and is working as the Professor in Institution of Engineering (IOE) and has contributed in numerous courses of Structural Engineering. He is also the author of several books and has published numerous research paper which is internationally recognized.
