Ovulation is a one-day event when an egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube, ready for fertilization. But the egg only lives for 12-24 hours! ⏳ 🤰
Since sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for up to 5 days, having sex leading up to and just after ovulation gives the sperm the best chance to meet the egg. 🧬
For the best sperm quality and quantity, abstain from ejaculating for 2 and 7 days before the fertile window.
