Richard you and I have been doing Executive Coaching for the last 2 to 3 months and we have been working on time management and negotiation skills.
Tell me where did you start on time management and negotiation?
Where did I start on this course?
How did you feel when you started?
I didn't realise that I needed help and as soon as we started I started to realise that the things that I have been doing wrong. I was taking much too long and working on the wrong things that weren't really my job. Things that I am not paid to do taking too much time, working on things that I shouldn't have been doing. This course has really allowed me to focus on, concentrating on what the actual jobs that I am paid to do.
Ok. What about negotiation skills? Where were you on that?
I wasn't really anywhere on that, I feel a lot more confident now when I go into a meeting or a negotiation. I feel much better prepared and confident when I go into a meeting.
Ok. The top three benefits of what we have covered over the last few months working together?
I think the main benefit for me has been the negotiation I feel more prepared when I go into a negotiation and I feel I am getting results now.
Ok, alright good and what about time management?
Time management, I am more confident to delegate when I have to now.
Not concentrating on just the task, before my list of jobs was just a list of jobs and I would do them when I had to. But actually the list on there were things that weren't part of my job and weren't helping me progress with what I need to be doing so now I am concentrating on the jobs that I do now, concentrating on the most important things first, ticking them off my list and offloading the ones which aren't helping me.
