"The tilting flume at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at RWTH Aachen University shows the differences between subcritical and supercritical flow. Therefore, a hydraulic jump is generated in open channel flow. A hydraulic jump is formed when the depth of flow changes from supercritical to subcritical state."
