"Groundwater is a valuable natural resource that must be protected from groundwater depletion (declining level) and chemical pollution. Therefore, groundwater bodies need to be monitored for quality and quantity in order to manage, to protect and to eventually remediate them. Groundwater sampling is described in different national and international standards (e.g. ISO 5667-11). This video gives a practical impression of the sampling procedure and the processes in the aquifer around the monitoring well."
