"The teaching laboratory at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at RWTH Aachen University is used to generate both a laminar and a turbulent flow in a horizontal pipe. The Reynolds-number can be used to determine if flow is laminar, transient or turbulent."
