Today we paying tribute to Italia (Remember Bella Ciao?) because we had so much fun the last time we went there musically. This song is a classic Dean Martin song written by Harry Warren with lyrics by Jack Brooks. This ended up becoming a signature song for Dean Martin and it appeared in his movie The Caddy and ended up becoming somewhat of a signature hit for Dean. The song is a little goofy, but it is fun and has a lovely and very singable melody. It takes inspiration from Canzone Napoletana, which translate to Napoleon Song, as Napoli (Naples as it is known in English) a style of music that played a very large roll in the musical history of Italia. Napoli is known for many things, one of them being its rich musical history as it is referenced to in the song. The tutorial will walk you through how to play the entire song. The song repeats a lot of the same parts and we have condensed it into an easier to play version for solo ukulele, also known as fingerstyle ukulele and chord melody.
