From the course author's introduction:
One of the difficulties of Hebrew is verb conjugation. Pronunciation is not particularly problematic, and students begin to construct simple sentences fairly quickly. Difficulties arise when using verbs in different tenses. Gradually, you begin to feel the impossibility of fluent speech without the ability to use verbs. Ulpan teaches verb forms, but until you hear the changes that occur with verbs, you won't be able to identify them.
In life, you encounter all the verb forms only by chance—sometimes it takes years. Our manual brings these forms together in one place—in common expressions you hear on the street, at work, on the radio. After you've heard them a few times and repeated them out loud yourself, you'll be able to detect them in everyday speech and use them, as your ear and tongue are already trained.
The purpose of this manual is not to teach you all the most common verbs—it's not a dictionary—but to clearly present almost all possible verb forms. This way, you can learn to conjugate any verb, knowing how to conjugate the sample you'll learn in this course.
How to study?
First, listen to the recording while reading the Hebrew text, but not out loud. If the meaning is unclear, there's a translation below.
After you've learned the verb group, listen to the recording with your eyes closed.
Listen to the recording while speaking the written text out loud. Try pronouncing each phrase, trying to imitate the speaker's intonation.
After you've learned and understood each verb group, you can listen to and repeat sentences with them, say, in the car, while shaving, or in the kitchen while cooking dinner...
