Verbs in Hebrew.
A guide to learning Hebrew verbs.
The material is taken from the Hebrew textbook "Live, Work, and Rejoice" by I. Elichai.
Listen, read the sentence, watch the translation, and repeat after the narrator. Learn Hebrew phrases. Learn Hebrew by ear.
If this is your first video on my channel, I recommend starting with the first verb.
1 verb – one video: • Глаголы в иврите. Один глагол в одном видео
5 verbs in one video: • Глаголы в иврите. 5 глаголов в одном видео
10 verbs in one video: • Глаголы в иврите. 10 глаголов в одном видео
From the course author's introduction:
One of the difficulties of Hebrew is verb conjugation. Pronunciation is not particularly problematic, and students begin to construct simple sentences fairly quickly. Difficulties arise when using verbs in different tenses. Gradually, you begin to feel the impossibility of free speech without the ability to use verbs. Ulpan teaches verb forms, but until you hear the changes that occur with a verb, you won't be able to identify them.
In life, you encounter all the verb forms only by chance—sometimes it takes years. Our manual brings these forms together in one place—in common expressions you might hear on the street, at work, or on the radio. After you've heard them a few times and repeated them out loud, you'll be able to pick them up in real speech and use them, as your ear and tongue are already trained.
The purpose of this manual is not to teach you all the most common verbs—it's not a dictionary—but to clearly represent nearly all possible verb forms. This way, you can learn to conjugate any verb by knowing how to conjugate the sample you'll learn in this course.
How to learn?
First, listen to the recording while reading the Hebrew text, but not out loud. If the meaning isn't clear, the translation is below. After you've learned a group of verbs, listen to the recording with your eyes closed.
Listen to the recording while speaking the written text aloud. Try to pronounce each phrase, trying to imitate the speaker's intonation.
After you've learned and understood each group of verbs, you can listen to and repeat sentences with them, say, in the car, while shaving, or in the kitchen while cooking dinner...
