Building a Land Capacity Model for New Zealand Local Government
In this webinar we discuss the work undertaken to deliver a Land Capacity Model (LCM) for Waikato District Council, a local government council in the North Island of New Zealand, between the major cities of Auckland and Hamilton; strategically positioned for future growth.
The Land Capacity Model (LCM) project is a co-created solution of Waikato District Council and WSP, which consolidates existing land capacity data and information resources within one information system at a comfortable scale for smaller government organisations.
We focus on how the LCM was co-created and the useful information the model helps to generate for Waikato DC for evidence-based decision making. We will include lessons learnt and next steps development.
This webinar will be of interest to all government agencies involved with land use management, planners, technology leads and specialists and asset managers.
