Decision-Useful Climate Risk Assessments: Developing Bespoke Impact Pathways
In this webinar we discuss a proven way for conducting climate-related risks assessments that 1) engage client staff and 2) develop meaningful outcomes to understanding climate risk.
We focus the presentation on a process we use for conducting forward-looking climate related physical risk scenario analyses. We use existing client risk frameworks and criteria, alongside interactive workshop tools and client discussions, to develop unique and specific climate risk impact scoring taxonomies. Compared to many off-the-shelf climate risk assessment solutions, the benefits of the WSP process are that the client develops an understanding of climate risk to their operations - grounded in their staff members’ input, all the while building organizational awareness of climate impacts.
