Sophia Cat on the Hunt (The Bug Never Stood a Chance)
I've never actually been able to catch the elusive Sophia (our cat) during one of her insect hunts, but this time I was lucky enough to have my smartphone close by when she started her excited high-pitched chittering. After a short chase, she gave up and tried to persuade Mr. Fly to come down and join her. He wasn't biting. But unfortunately for him, he lost his balance and the chase was back on. After a wild final pursuit, Sophia finally bagged her bug. Then she went right back to bird watching.
Greyson (our other cat) sat rigidly a few feet away... jealous.
Sophia later buried the digested remains of Mr. Fly in the litter box six inches under. Actually, she just left it on top; she's lazy when it comes to litter for some reason. Greyson was in charge of the funeral procession; he loves burials.
