“Circle Progressions share a Common Tone” - PART 2.
This is also invaluable for a I-IV progression in any key. Simply move one step counterclockwise around The Circle and you have your next Root note. Not only that, but the old Root will be a common tone between the two chords.
If you can identify the Root within a ‘one’ chord voicing, it is the anchor around which you pivot to form the ‘four’ chord. This time it becomes the 5 of the ‘four’.
