Banoffee Pie – Bananas, toffee and whipped cream all on a crunchy biscuit base!
Watch this video to learn how to make banoffee pie the easy way and shows you a no bake banoffee pie recipe that is simple to follow! Learn how to make homemade banoffee pie and how to make your own homemade caramel without the hassle of exploding tins of condensed milk. The delicious sticky caramel sits on top of a biscuit base and is topped with fresh bananas and whipped cream! Finish off the dish with some grated chocolate to wow everyone and have them reaching for more!
Ingredients:
250g digestive biscuits, crushed
200g unsalted butter (100g for the base, 100g for the caramel), melted
100g soft brown sugar
400g condensed milk
2pc large bananas, sliced
300ml whipped cream
Chocolate, grated
Method:
1. Crumble the digestive biscuits then blend with the melted butter for the base
2. Pour the mixture into a 20cm tin and press down firmly to create the biscuit base. Cool for 10 minutes
3. Melt the butter for the caramel and add the sugar. Once blended, add the condensed milk and stir continuously. Boil rapidly for 1 minute, continuously stirring
4. Pour the caramel over the biscuit base. Cool then chill for 1 hour, or until the caramel is firm
5. Add the bananas on top of the firm caramel
6. Remove the outer edge of the tin
7. Whisk the whipped cream and carefully spread it over the banoffee base
8. Decorate with grated chocolate
