Today I will go through a question regarding tiling of a board.
In mathematics, tiling, or tessellation, refers to the covering of a surface using pre-specified geometric shapes with no overlap and no gap.
The key is the last bit - there should be no overlap AND no gap at all.

In this video, we will solve the original version of the problem using a coloring trick. Note that this problem is very popular in technical job interviews since, whilst the trick is neat and can be learned, it also requires using advanced reasoning skills for form logical arguments. By following through the arguments presented in the video, you can learn our thought process and ace the problem.
After that, we will move on to a more complex version of the problem. This is a further challenge as the solution cannot be simplistically extended from the prior one. Again, rest assured, I will present you with the full solution with the logic explained in details so you can follow closely.
