The Pulemyot Kalashnikova, or "Kalashnikov's machine gun" is a general-purpose machine gun (GPMG) made in the Soviet Union chambered in 7.62×54mmR, and is still in heavy use domestically (RU) and nationwide. The design has been noted for its reliability and cheapness to produce. Like most GPMG's, the PKM is belt-fed, but using non-disintegrating metal belts.
