Thanks for watching Jack's 'CLASSIC SERIES" on early CSX at Connellsville, PA. 1990. Connellsville was on the B&O Keystone sub, and had a engine terminal, round house, hump yard, and was a crew change point as well. Most everything is all gone now, and crews run from Cumberland MD, to New Castle, PA. and don't stop here unless picking up or setting out cars.
With C'ville being a crew change point, we catch several trains powered with CSX, Chessie, B&O and Seaboard System locomotives leaving after the crew change, and westbounds coming in for crew change. All movie footage is done near the tower where the Sheepskin, (FM&P) came into the yard. The eastbound trains normally got helpers on the rear just beyond where I was filming, for the push up to Sand Patch. So trains are working pretty good going east leaving. Westbound trains are in dynamic coming down grade into the yard.
Filmed with a Panasonic VHS Camera.
