NKP 765, M&E Alco's 17-18-16. NRHS 1988 Convention trip. Erie Mainline
Thanks for watching this little forgotten clip in my archives.
This trip was during the 1988 NRHS Convention, and ran the ex-Erie mainline from Hoboken, NJ. to Port Jervis, NY. with NKP 765 leading the west bound sold out train.
The trip returns east from Port Jervis to Hoboken behind a trio of M&E Alco units with C430's #17-#16- and C424 #18 spliced between. The 765 would be towed back to Hoboken later behind an NJT GP40P.
Video was taken with a Panasonic VHS camera July 30th, 1988.
