Sunrises and Splashes: A Day of Dolphin Watching in Anglesey
We have yet another AMAZING day full of close encounters with Risso's dolphins in Anglesey, Wales. We headed out to a beautiful Anglesey sunrise and the dolphins meet us straight away to start the day off perfect.
Throughout the day we see multiple pods of these incredible animals and so many calves too! At one point we counter a pod of 6 mothers with each of them having a tiny calf by their side. It is amazing how close these animals come to shore giving such close up views of them.
We had such a perfect, calm morning with them in such a stunning location witnessing many behaviors such as: breaching, logging, tail lobbing, foraging and slow surfacing. At times the dolphins come with in meters of where we were stood on the rocks, making such memorable encounters that we will certainly never forget.
