PULLIN' OIL FROM THE SAND
How often while growing up in outport Newfoundland did I say "I can't wait to get away from this dump." And I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's only when one has to leave home to find work, however, that he or she soon realizes that things are not always better on the other side. Even if they are, many of us transplanted "mainlanders" still miss the good old days in our outport Newfoundland.
