When you have 5v and 3.3v on a board, maybe don't connect them ⚡
This little stm32 is quite the trooper! Connecting 5v and 3.3v is a right good way to let out the magic smoke usually (Arduinos and esp's would be cooked!)
So I get to try again at doing it myself... or sucking it up and soldering the bottom half myself...
