Handmade stencil using my cricut 😳 | Mandala Plate Design Part 2
🎨 Part 2!
Now that the cricut design is stuck to the plate, it’s time to glaze it. I applied two light coats of Coyote’s gunmetal green, then waxed the entire thing. Once the wax was dry, I removed the vinyl adhesive cricut design, which was tedious (not gonna lie 😂). What remains is the gunmetal green with the wax on top so I can apply the Matt black glaze (amaco) in the lines of the mandala. Because it’s waxed, the black glaze will be prevented from getting onto the gunmetal green.
🔥 Fired to a cone 6 with a slow cool schedule in an electric kiln.
🍽️ Clay used is bmix by Laguna (no grog)
