Sustainability in its most basic form reflects how we as a society can meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future. This is best demonstrated in the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals: Many of these goals are global in nature and require the engagement of multiple stakeholders - including governments - for success.
Enterprise sustainability narrows this broader focus to what we as operating enterprises can do within our own range of expertise and influence. The broader sustainability community is encouraging change within the enterprise. We will explore the definition of enterprise sustainability, the drivers behind the response, and how Ingevity is responding to these drivers.
