Why would you want to disable mouse acceleration? Its for the same reason for sharpening your blade. It can result in more precise maneuvers, and less jittery aiming in FPS games.
And quite honestly, it results in a more controllable mouse altogether in my opinion. People that use UI a lot may want it on however. As it quickens mouse speed to make for quicker reactions. But for games, best leave it off.
You may find the mouse slower at first - but it's actually your mouse having a more consistent speed and not accelerating based on movement. Your aim should actually improve as you get used to the feel. And if its sluggish, there's nothing a sensitivity adjustment can't fix.
Update - You also may want to turn off mouse precision in mouse settings!
