Farm House in Nepal | Anju Malla Pradhan X Kamero Consults X Shirshak Baniya
This building is a part of the farm house project, located in Jagatpur, Chitwan, Nepal. This 400 sq. ft. tiny building serves as a residential house for security guard.
The key highlights about the building are: rattrap brick bond in walls, bamboo roof truss, bamboo columns, rammed earth flooring, flattened bamboo false ceiling, internal mud plaster, flat brick flooring. Also, the internal walls of the bathrooms are plastered using a mixture of lime, cement, and fine sand. The roofing consists of corrugated iron sheet with thatched roof in progress.
The 17' long southern slope roof acts as a shading device to cut off summer sun, which also creates privacy between existing road and the building.
