This reminded me of looking through a tiny prison window-slit and remembering the past and Outside Things.
MACVAL is the museum of contemporary art in the Val-de-Marne département just outside Paris, France. You can get here via bus or tramway or both from Paris. It is free the first Sunday of each month but otherwise isn't costly. It's in Vitry-sur-Seine, which is weird. Whether you like contemporary art of even museums, you might find this a cheerful visit. Many people do take babies and children here, and there seems to be enough space, a big garden and it is not very disruptive. During the week there is a restaurant and more here, and again, the neighborhood surrounding, which is largely A CLOCKWORK ORANGE and Asiatic, might be a very, um, INTERESTING experience.
