STRANGE VAL-DE-MARNE
I think this actually starts out in Ivry-sur-Seine.
I feel certain I have other clips up of Vitry-sur-Seine in the Val-de-Marne département, extremenly close to Paris, France (on the same public transportation system, et c.). We go here sometimes to visit MACVAL, the département's contemporary art museum.
I suppose many would say to me, "What's strange about this? It's nice! It's clean, it's practical, it's normal, this is creepy??" By the museum, it reminds me of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, really.
There is an area in Paris which reminds me of this, and is around that dreadful failure of the Bibliothèque Nationale. Everything on a grid, no warmth, you could be anywhere! Oh, and you can eat standard French sushi, get some mass-produced fast food, have a Starbuck's (I never have, never will), and buy some really non-risk, costly furniture, while you attend a ... university which processes you!! Yes, it's good, it's progress, it's technology ... feh!!
Some of this may actually show Ivry-sur-Seine, which is adjacent.
