LESS WASTE MORE GARMENT // Valentin Hofmann
Ein großes Problem der Textilindustrie ist die Materialverschwendung, die bereits bei der Produktion entsteht. Mit der Bachelorarbeit „LESS WASTE MORE GARMENT“ werden konventionelle Schnittmuster so verändert, dass der Materialverschnitt stark reduziert werden kann. Auch der gesamte Stoffverbrauch kann so reduziert werden. Die Anwendung dieser Schnitttechniken wird exemplarisch anhand von drei verschiedenen Kleidungsstücken demonstriert. Ein Hemd, eine Hose und eine Jacke sind Ergebnis dieser Arbeit.
A major problem of the textile industry is the high amount of wasted material that already occurs during the production. With the bachelor thesis "LESS WASTE MORE GARMENT", conventional patterns are modified in such a way that material waste can be greatly reduced. Fabric consumption can also be reduced to some extent in this way. The application of these cutting techniques is demonstrated using three different garments as examples. A shirt, a pair of trousers and a jacket are the result of this work.
