● Government committed to honor and help the martyrs

Shri Hemant Soren took a big step towards honoring the martyrs on the very first day of taking oath of office as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand state. The Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh as ex-gratia grant to Smt. Hulasi Devi, mother of martyr Agniveer Arjun Mahato, a resident of Fatehpur village in Chandankyari block of Bokaro district. Along with this, an appointment letter was given to Shri Balram Mahato, brother of martyr Agniveer. During this, MLA Smt. Kalpana Soren, MLA Shri Umakant Rajak and martyr's sister Ms. Laxmi Kumari were present.
Government committed to honor and help martyrs
The Chief Minister said that our government has always stood with the martyrs at every step. The state government is always ready to honor and help the martyrs. He told the officials that he will ensure that the family members of martyr Arjun Mahato get the benefits of various welfare schemes of the government. The Chief Minister said that our government has already taken a policy decision to give an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the families of Agniveers and a government job to one family member on their martyrdom, like soldiers.
It is known that Jharkhand's Agniveer Arjun Mahato was posted in Silchar, Assam. He attained martyrdom in an encounter with militants late in the night on 21st of this month.
