David Byrne's True Stories (1986)
True Stories was directed by David Byrne, a member of the new wave band Talking Heads, and was released in 1986. It's plot comprises David Byrne's character (he has no name), guiding you through the small town of Vigil, Texas (which is celebrating its sesquicentennial anniversary) and with it many vignettes regarding the town. It's very odd, off-beat and quirky, David Byrne's character is very straight-forward with dialogue but very different in every other way - and of course, the music is great!
