Raw Sessions : "Lost Mi Love" (Yellowman Cover)
This week’s dub is a cover of Lost Mi Love by the legendary Yellowman. He’s an artist I’ve admired and been inspired by for a long, long time. So it’s been a long time coming that I’d do something with his music, and I’m really happy to finally share this dub with you.
We’ve got Emyr Dance in the studio for this one. He jumped in literally minutes before we started recording, which is just amazing. He’s not only one of my favorite musicians out there, but also one of my favorite people. I love him so much!
This is a full improv live dub jam. I used an old wireless mic I had lying around… it’s alright, but I’m not sure if it’s going to stick. Let me know if you think it’s cool that I’m singing and dubbing live at the same time. Practicality wise I think it’s nice, but sound wise it could be better.
All in all, I’m feeling really lucky. More and more people are reaching out to collaborate, and I honestly appreciate it so much.
