-How to Add or Access Custom Email Account on Android phone using Gmail App and also
-How to Delete the Custom Email Account after adding.
Let’s get started!
The First Part: How to Add and Access Custom Email Account on Android phone using Gmail App.
Step 1
Open your Gmail App on your phone. Tap on the Menu Icon in front of the Search in emails on your upper left.
Step 2
Scroll down to the bottom and Tap on Settings. The Settings page opens. Tap on Add Account to add your new Custom Email Account.
Step 3
Tap on Others. This takes to a page requesting for your Email Address. Enter the custom Email Address you want add.
The Email I will be adding is [email protected]. So, I will type that in the space provided.
Step 4
Tap on Next. This takes you to a page asking you: What type of account is this? Tap on the Personal (IMAP). This action directs you a page asking for your Password. Enter the Password of your custom email and Click on Next. This takes you to the Incoming Server Settings Page.
Step 5
Type mail. in front of your domain name which is filled automatically.
Tap on Next. This takes you to the Outgoing Server Settings Page after your incoming server details have been validated.
Enter mail. in front of your domain name which is filled automatically for the SMTP Server field and Tap on Next. This directs you to the Accounts Options page where you get to configure your email Account Options. Tap on Next at the bottom of the page. This takes you a page where you get to Enter your Name. i.e. the name to be displayed when you send messages.
Tap on Next. This takes you to the Settings Page and you get to see your Custom Email Account Successfully added to the Accounts in your Gmail App.
Now to Access it:
Tap on the Back Arrow beside the Settings. Click on your Account Icon on your upper right. A window pops open. Tap on the Email you just added. In my case; [email protected].
Your Inbox Page opens and You get you view your various emails there. That’s All!
The Second Part: How to Delete Custom Email Account on Android Phone using Gmail App
Step 1
Open your Gmail App on your Phone. Tap on the Menu Icon in front of the Search In Emails on your upper left.
Step 2
Scroll down to the bottom and Tap on Settings. The Settings page opens. On your upper right, Tap on the 3Dots at the far end of the Settings. A pop up Appears. Select Manage Accounts.
Step 3
Select the Email Account you want to Delete. In my case, I will be deleting the [email protected] so I will Tap on that.
Step 4
Tap on Remove Account. A pop appears Asking you to confirm the Deletion of Account. Tap on the Remove Account. Account Deleted Successfully.
