LITTLE NIGHTMARES 'The Depths DLC' FIRST PLAYTHROUGH! | Granny Wants the MEAT!
Welcome to my FIRST PLAYTHROUGH of the gripping and atmospheric 'The Depths' DLC for LITTLE NIGHTMARES! In this expansion, I am desperately navigating through the treacherous depths of the maw playing not as Six, but as 'The Kid' or 'Runaway Kid' as some may know him. However, this time I am introduced by the malevolent presence of The Granny, a sinister figure hell-bent on ensuring my demise.
The tension in 'The Depths' is palpable from the outset, such as the eerie ripples in the water, and the ominous emergence of a grotesque hand, to keep players on edge. You can't even catch your breath and think about your next move because The Granny will try knock you off the platform you are standing on! At first, I mistook the creature stalking me as a mere fish, but as the story unfolds, its true nature becomes chillingly apparent.
Despite the immersive and gripping narrative, 'The Depths' is not without its flaws. The frequent crashes, particularly whenever I would die, detract from the overall experience, threatening to shatter the immersion built by Tarsier Studios. This technical issue somewhat dampens the otherwise stellar execution of the DLC, leaving me frustrated and disconnected from the unfolding horror.
Reflecting on 'The Depths,' I find myself torn. On one hand, the DLC excels in delivering spine-tingling moments of terror, showcasing the Tarsier Studio's prowess in crafting unsettling atmospheres and harrowing encounters. Yet, on the other hand, the recurring technical issues of the expansion leave me questioning its necessity at all.
Regardless of these issues, thank you for accompanying me on this unsettling adventure, and I hope you find some enjoyment amidst the shadows and nightmares.
