Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and the OSU Medical Center hosted an event for Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, July 12, 2013 at the OSU Medical Center, to thank her for supporting the teaching hospital.

Heather Hardebeck, a second year medical student, addressed the governor and guests, sharing her reasons for attending the OSU medical school, staying in Oklahoma and to eventually serve patient needs in the state.
Hardebeck and her fellow students will benefit from being a part of the teaching hospital.

Fallin and Oklahoma legislative leaders provided $13 million in funding for the medical center as part of the state budget approved in May.
This support enables OSU-CHS and OSUMC to continue to train physicians and care for the underserved in Oklahoma.
