Sonic Pi Hydra Demo
This video shows the latest development build of Sonic Pi 4.4 with hydra.ojack built in, so that it can be easily used and programmed from within the sonic Pi edit buffer. A built in phoenix live web display can display the resulting sketch, or it can be laoded with the push of a button to a local browser window. The development is by Sam Arron @samaaron the creator of Sonic Pi. Furhter work will be done to allow sound from Sonic Pi to be incorporated via the a.fft command in hydra, and also to allow OSC and midi commands from Sonic Pi to interact with the sketch. For now, you can repeatedly create the hydra sketch, modofying it in each call, and thus obtaining control of what it looks like and synchronising changes to sounds produced by Sonic Pi. This video shows how the sketch can be alterd and created. At present you need to build teh development yourself from source, but it will no doubt be included in betas of the next release which Sam releases to those who support him on patreon.com
