Granule Stitch Tutorial
This is a very easy crochet stitch to learn and it is perfect for those of you who are just starting to crochet. The entire stitch pattern is worked using just 2 stitches; the single crochet stitch (SC) and the single crochet picot stitch (SC picot st). US Crochet Terms (in UK it would be DC and DC picot stitch).
PLEASE NOTE: If you use a 4 mm (G) like I did in the video tutorial and start with a chain of 42 your washcloth will measure approximately 9 inches wide. Switch to a 5 mm (H) crochet hook to reach 12 inches instead.

For the sample I am beginning with a chain of 18. You can make your project to whatever width you'd like by chaining a multiple of 2 chains and then adding 2 extra chains before you begin working back across the foundation chain.
If you are adding this to a project midway through, you need an odd number of stitches to work across.
The pattern repeat works up over a repeat of just 2 rows.
My supplies: King Cole Recycled Dishcloth Cotton (supplied by King Cole Yarn) and a 4 mm (G) Clover Crochet Hook (I bought it on Amazon) for the video tutorial.
To make the Washcloth 12 inches X 12 inches you will begin with a starting chain of 42 using a 5 mm (H) crochet hook.
