The average value , root mean square (RMS) value, form factor and peak factor of rectangular, sawtooth, trapezoidal and sinusoidal waveform are explained in detail.
All the formulae are derived step by step. Problems are solved for different ac waveforms.


The RMS value of an alternating current is given by that
steady dc current which when flowing through a resistor for a given time produces the same amount of heat as produced by the A.C when flowing through the same circuit for the same time.

This video can be used as a study material for all first year B.E/B.Tech engineering students of all universities.
