Regarding the comment below, I no longer consider this a direct sequel to Bubba Has a Gun. It's more like a special political cartoon using some old cartoons for inspiration. Because this really doesn't feel like the old series.

While in the middle of writing a new animated project, I decided I was in need of a break. I thought back to the old days where I would jump in and make a cartoon with a loose idea or two and essentially tie an ending together on the fly. So, that's what I did. Bubba Still Has a Gun is a direct sequel to Bubba Has a Gun.
I smoked a lot of weed, thought of some funny thing, recorded some lines, and got to work. This project served another purposed: testing out a new workflow involving drawing on the iPad and animating with bitmap images.
I really like the results. The forced side view was fun to play with. In a way, I think it help with my animation practices. Painting the backgrounds was fun too.
I am hoping to keep coming back to this universe when I am in need of a brain dump. Bubba's universe is a fun playground. Maybe the ideas were never bad. I think I just needed some time to marinate my skills.
